The primary purpose of the Symposium is to disseminate scientific knowledge, promote evidence-based reflections and disseminate good practices that inform public policies and foster the healthy development of children from 0 to 6 years of age.
Participants in the event are specialists who are a reference in the subject, in Brazil and abroad, and who address issues that are essential to early childhood development, but which are still challenging for public policies and programs.
To give access to the content of the event to as many people as possible, the symposium has live online broadcasting. In addition to the online broadcasts, the NCPI has been conducting satellite symposium since 2015, that is, simultaneous broadcasts organized independently by institutions that have an interest in the topic.
Since the launch of NCPI, which happened during the First International Symposium on Early Childhood Development, in October 2011, seven editions of the event have taken place. In sum, about 2,400 participants have attended the events, more than 11 thousand watched them online, and approximately 2,700 participated in the satellite ones. In total, more than 6 thousand people are reached by the events.
Information about the 2019 edition will be available soon.
