The NCPI International Symposium is a biannual event that aims to raise awareness among managers from different areas about the importance of policies based on scientific evidence to generate a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families, especially the most vulnerable ones.
At each edition, experts from leading universities, non-governmental organizations, and public institutions from Brazil and abroad are invited to address current issues on early childhood development, always based on scientific knowledge. Promoting reflections and disseminating good practices that can be applied in public programs and policies are some of the focuses of the event, which is why the symposium is mainly aimed at leaders who work with public management, especially in the areas of health, education, and social development.
Since the first symposium, in 2011, nine editions have been carried out in different Brazilian capital cities, which brought together, face-to-face, more than 2,700 participants. In addition to the live audience, the events were broadcast online to make the content available to as many people as possible. The online audience was able to watch the symposium individually or in a group, through the so-called “satellite symposiums,” that is, simultaneous broadcasts organized independently by institutions that are interested in the theme and want to share the material with their teams. This medium allowed for over 14 thousand people, from all regions of Brazil, to have access to the latest editions of the event.
Information about the 2021 edition will be available soon.
