Science, debate, and public engagement
Every two years, the Symposium invites researchers from Brazil and around the world to present their latest studies and engage in discussions with civil society, policymakers and implementers. These interactions are designed to enrich social policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation.
Since its first edition in 2011, the Symposium has convened in four major Brazilian cities, featuring esteemed national and international experts. Thousands of attendees participate in the event both in person and virtually, with many more joining through satellite symposia.
